Privacy Policy

About this policy
This policy covers the Pitchery app for iPhone and iPad, made by AdeptLabs ("we"). Pitchery is a tool for coaches.
What Pitchery stores
Your team name, your players' first names or nicknames, shirt numbers, positions and who can play in goal, attendance, planned and played minutes, matches and scores, formations, tactics board drawings, training sessions and your settings. This is saved in the app's storage on your device.
iCloud sync
If iCloud sync is on (Settings › Your data) and you are signed in to iCloud, your teams are synced through your own private iCloud database (Apple's CloudKit) to your other devices signed in with the same Apple Account. That copy is stored by Apple, counts towards your iCloud storage and is covered by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to your private iCloud database. If you turn sync off, your teams stay on this device only.
Coaches and helpers
If you invite an assistant coach or helper (Settings › Coaches & helpers), Pitchery creates an iCloud share of that team, stored in your iCloud. The people who accept your invite link can see the team name, the players' first names and numbers, who's coming, each helper's role and the live match while it is played, and can send substitutions and clock taps that your iPhone then applies. The shared team stays in your iCloud; it is never stored by us. You can withdraw an unused link, change a helper's role or remove a helper at any time, and a helper can leave the team.
First names only, no photos of children
Pitchery is designed to work with first names or nicknames and shirt numbers. It doesn't ask for surnames, dates of birth, contact details or photos of players, so please don't enter more than you need.
Line-up and Fair Play images, PDFs, printed team sheets, position cards and the parents' page are created on your device. They leave it only when you share or print them, for example in a team chat, by AirDrop or with AirPrint. The parents' page is a single file containing the plan (first names or numbers and minutes); it isn't hosted on any server.
Permissions
- Calendar: if you import your fixtures, Pitchery reads only the calendar you pick, on your device.
- Camera: to scan a paper team list. The text is read on your device with Apple's text recognition, surnames are dropped, and the photo is not saved.
- Photos (add only): to save line-up and Fair Play images when you ask. Pitchery can't see your photo library.
- Notifications and Live Activities: match-day reminders and sub calls are scheduled on your device. The Lock Screen countdown to the next sub is updated by the app on your device.
- Siri and Shortcuts: answers such as "Who's on next?" come from the data on your device. Apple's handling of voice requests is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
- AirPlay big screen: the bench is shown on a TV you choose. Nothing passes through our servers.
Advertising
The free version of Pitchery shows Google AdMob banner ads on calm screens such as Home. Ads never appear during a match (clock, plan, substitutions or pitch) and never if you have Pitchery Pro.
To show and measure ads, Google's ad software in the app may collect device and usage data, such as your IP address, device model and system version, app version and your interactions with ads, and use it as described in Google's advertising policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Pitchery doesn't ask permission to track you, so Google doesn't receive your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). Pitchery never passes your team or player data to Google.
Apple's SKAdNetwork may tell an ad network that an ad led to an install of an app, without identifying you.
Analytics
Pitchery uses Firebase Analytics, a Google service, to count which features are used. It records product event names only, such as "match_saved" or "tab_season", together with Firebase's standard information (device model, system and app version, language, country or region, and a random app-instance identifier). It never records player names, numbers or any team data. We use it only to understand how coaches use the app and to improve it.
Crash reports
If Pitchery crashes, a crash report is sent to Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service. It contains the technical state of the app at the moment of the crash (which code was running, device model, system version, app version, free memory and disk) and a random install identifier. It never contains your team or anything you enter. We use it only to find and fix bugs.
Google's handling of analytics and crash data is covered by the Firebase privacy and security terms.
Purchases
Pitchery Pro is processed by Apple. We don't receive your name, email or payment details. The app checks your purchase with Apple on your device.
Exports
A Pitchery team file (.pitchery), CSV files and PDF reports are created on your device and leave it only if you choose to share them.
Deleting your data
In Pitchery, go to Settings › Your data › Delete all data. This erases your teams on this device and the copy in your iCloud, so your other devices signed in to the same iCloud lose them too. You can export a copy first (Settings › Your data › Export everything). Deleting the app removes its data from the device. Because your team data never reaches us, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Children
Pitchery is made for coaches, who are adults. It is not directed to children and we don't knowingly collect information from children. Coaches should enter only first names or nicknames and shirt numbers, and follow their club's safeguarding rules when sharing a plan.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to its use. Your team data is under your control in the app and in your iCloud. For anything else, write to us at the address below.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
